WebSlam III Participants and Judges PARTICIPANTS: This year there will be eight teams participating in WebSlam from all over New Mexico. They are: Animas High School Clayton HS Las Cruces High School Oñate High, also from Las Cruces Rio Rancho High School and, Santa Fe Preparatory School St. Bonaventure from Thoreau. St. Pius X, from Albuquerque Valley High School Wagon Mound High School West Las Vegas High School JUDGES: The judges for WebSlam III comprise an all-star team of distinguished New Mexico poets who have volunteered their time to participate in this community event. They are: E.A. "Tony" Mares, poet, historian, and professor at the University of New Mexico; Valerie Martínez, award winning poet and formerly a professor at New Mexico Highlands University, now visiting artist at Ursinus University in Philadelphia; Consuelo Luz; singer, cultural commentator, artist; Rebecca Sieferle from Farmington whose poetry was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize last year and who is editor of ´Drunken Boat´ Web site; Tamara Nicholl, last year's poetry slam winner in Albuquerque and Carol Moldaw, Santa Fe poet whose most recent book is "Chalkmarks on Stone," published by La Alameda Press.
