Valerie Martínez

Valerie Martínez was born and raised in Santa Fe. She joined the faculty of The College of Santa Fe, in the fall of 2003. She has taught at the Universities of Arizona and New Mexico, in the rural schools of Swaziland, and at New Mexico Highlands University. She was a Poetry Fellow with the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, and has served as a teacher-trainer for middle and high school English teachers as well as poet-in-residence in middle schools, secondary schools, colleges, and universities.
