Carlos Contreras

Born in Albuquerque’s North Valley, Carlos Contreras is the youngest poet to ever qualify for the Albuquerque Poetry Slam team. Currently a student at the University of New Mexico, he has participated in two National Poetry Slams and as a presenter and educator in the National Hispanic Cultural Center’s “Voces” program as well as New Mexico CultureNet’s Poetry Jam conferences.
