Congratulations to all who participated in WebSlam IV. While there are no ‘winners’ or ‘losers’ in an endeavor such as this—art and poetry are so relative—there are sustained efforts that should be acknowledged. Four poets, in the eyes and minds of the judges, put forth extraordinary effort for each of the three weeks. They are:
First Place - Olivia Allin – Santa Fe Prep, with a cumulative score of 9.9. Her teacher is Rob Wilder
Second Place – Amanda Navarro, St. Pius X, Albuquerque, 9.67. Her teacher is Julia Huchmala
Second Place – Kyra Alhstrom, Santa Fe Prep, 9.67
Third Place – Dylan Raven Fox, Santa Fe Prep, 9.33
There are another six poets who also put forward exemplary efforts and who deserve Honorable Mention as well:
