Another Chance

Beaten and mistreated,
Living is no easy feat.
Cheated out of life,
She grew up too soon.

She dreams of what
Youth must be like
But knows it not.
She is weary of living.

When she was young
She wanted to sing,
But now she longs for
Means to an end.

But if her life was
To change,
If it had meaning,
Maybe she could go on.

She lifts her chin
Skyward
And resolves
To give life
Another try.

Now she sees herself
In another’s face and says,
"Keep on shinin’ baby,
Now’s your chance to sing."

Invisible Man

What am I doing here in the
cruel and heartless world,
Seeing the things that no visible person
could see.

Being all alone in the cold, with no one
to talk to, I sit and cry but who can
hear me.

I yell to get other people's attention,
but no one can hear an Invisible Man.

I wish I could put myself to sleep,
for in this apathetic world, no one can hear me
scream.

Invisible

I am invisible to the world
unknown
I walk each day
yet no one notices me
Because of this I am
in silence unable to
sing or speak to you.
I just walk, seeing
and wish I could
be with you, but I guess that's
what you get for being
invisible.

By route obscure...

By route obscure and lonely
I have come before
waiting for an eternal bliss
on an eternal shore

There have been others waiting
without a smile, only a grin
into the chained darkness
we were welcomed in

alone many have suffered
but they've received their scars
for this is just a world
and we can touch the stars

Feel the wind it's blowing
away the pain from time
listen to these moments
for now they are sublime

Invisible

I'm not here, you can't see me.
I can hear you, you can't hear me.
It doesn't matter what I do, you can't see me
I want you to know me, but you can't see.
I don't understand, Why can't you see me?!
I have no voice, you can't feel my breath.
I have no hands, you can't feel my touch.
Why can't I make you notice me?!
I'm invisible.

Invisible

I am invisible
to those I dislike.
I am invisible
because I am an outcast.
I am invisible
because I am different.
I am invisible
because I look different.
I am invisible
because I think differently.

When I

When I looked into your eyes
I knew what I saw
Pain and suffering that's all I saw.
Your face turned so pale
That it made people run and yell.
You turned so sad, that I tried
to make you glad.
But you paid no attention
When I tried to solve your frustration.

Invisible

You can't see me
I can see you
I hear everything
But wait I can see the dead too.
You are not alone
An angel watches everything you do.
I can see an angel
My angel is with me too.
You can't see me
But I will always see you.

Friendship

It is very rare and hard to find a special friend.
Someone you can trust
Someone who is always there for you,
good times and bad times.
Someone who knows what makes you laugh
and makes you cry.
Someone who knows everything about you.
It is very rare and hard to find a special friend.
Someone you can call at all hours of the night
Someone who can pick you up when you are
feeling blue.
Someone that does special things for you, for no reason.
Someone who will protect you at all cost.
It is very rare and hard to find a special friend.

Invisible

I am here, little do you know
Your eyes slice through me, as
though I am not there.
Invisible?
Do you wish you could be?
I see happenings that the most
perceptive miss . . .
I hear inaudible noises
that many cannot . . .
Only my eyes are blessed to
witness,
my ears to hear it.
Invisible.

Invisible

I walk around the world seeing everything in
sight, yet I cannot be seen.

I walk through crowded market places, I see the people as they pass me by, but they cannot see me.

I walk along a busy street, but I am not seen by anyone I meet.

Each day I walk among the people in the busy city, I see them but they do not see me.

No, I am not a ghost and yet I am unable to be seen. How can this be?

Invisible

I'm invisible.
I hear things people
don't want me to.
They do things
I see, but they
don't know
I see them
and hear them.
They call my friends things.
They call me worse things.
